Rolling with larger guys

Ok..any tips for rolling with guys that are much larger. I was rolling with a guy that outweighed me by about 80 lbs. There wasn't much I could do, as I was just fighting to keep his weight off of me.

For those that have doing BJJ for awhile, how do you handle the larger guys. Granted, this is only my first week of training, so I don't expect to do much, but would like some ideas on how to handle this. I did get my first tapout against someone closer to my weight, so that was exciting.

Rolling with bigger guys.......create angles, use it as an opportunity to learn about escaping side control or mount. I wouldn't waste time trying to get top position, although with practice you could.

if you can get top tho it's good because bigger people often have difficulty with ground mobility, esp from the back
because from top I'm pertty mobile but in guard I'm iffy
don't try to straight out beat someone bigger then you, do something they ahve to defend against and when they defend use the space created to work an escape or a better possition

Congratualtions on your first tap out. That's gotta be a great feeling. I have some things to learn about BJJ, but I do know what a tap out is :)
