Road To the OLYMPIA...

im buying it on pay per view i believe.. me and a bunch of buddies haha so i will be their in spirit, eatin pop corn and ice cream wonderin why i cant get their physique and muscle tone
 
I know some fellow C&C bro's might be going..would be nice to finally meet some of you guys...I flaked on Mak last year. lol
 
unfortunately I dont have the vacation time otherwise id love to go. Plus it gives me another excuse to hit Vegas which is always a plus. DAMNIT! lol
 
I went when it was at the Mandalay Bay a few years ago.
I am not too sure what to think of the current set up.

Thats what i have heard...Im orginally from las vegas and i know the Mandalay Bay is nice...and KNOW too well that the orleans isnt really all that great...have you been to the O at the orleans? Whats wrong with the set up?

Sup Sword? I will most likely be going. The set up last year sucked! They didn't have the big screens on for pre judging so the only way you could judge the show, or see the competitors well, was if you were sitting in the closer seats. I have not decided if I'll go for prejudging or not. Might just go to party. I'll probably stay at Mandalay or the Venetian depending on the prices. I'm not going to stay at Orleans. I don't mean to sound like I'm being Posh, but last year I was staying at the Frontier and I got stupid comments from "white trash hill billies" about my "steroid use", while they were so drunk they could hardly talk. Granted I won't be anywhere near the size I was last year, but I don't want any problems. It's not my fault they have no game... ;)

Hopefully I'll see you there this time snowflake...J/K/...

The production was god-awful last year. The sound & media sucked moose cawk. It was hard to get into the Orleans as well. The crowd was rather small & the women's competitions were weak at best (audience-wise). The Vegas Convention Center -well - as someone who worked a booth there last year - wow, what a mess. They completely ass-rape you as far as setup and all that. It was really a mess. Seemed like a huge lack of planning and looking for an opportunity to jerk the booth people out of cash. The lack of attention to the production last year also showed and I felt was a complete slap in the face to the very dedicated fan base of the Mr O.

I really hope they do better this year. Last yr did nothing to encourage this show or this sport at all.

Yes you will brotha..just dont bring your GAY mag with you and flaunt it around..LOL JK....but getting tickets within a week..my entire fam lives there so no need to stay at a hotel!

I heard tons of competitors and fans alike complain about it that the promoters of the show (at least in some mags) where claiming they would do it better this year...i truly hope so...i was going to inquire about the expo...im really looking foreward to that.

I think the worst of it just happened because of lack of forethought, but its like so many of the really weak competitions that I"ve seen over the years, and some that are traditionally really poor competitions - it doesnt' take much to thrill a BB does it? We're very simple and dedicated. But for a few extra minutes of thought & preparation a very good production can be put on. The show is the BB's. Its not like you have to scrounge around for guys who will thril you ever time you see them - Ronnie & Jay are walking shows in themselves. But the lameo production just really kills an opportunitiy to really make these legitimate and audience drawing events without a lot of work.

Im' really hopign someone steps up to the plate. Even the best stuff in a show can suffer if people just dont' want to deal w/ an amateur promotion.
 
I agree Sassy. Last year's O was the worst pro show I've ever seen. They should hire Arnold and Jim to put on the show.
