Riddle me This:

OMEGA

New member
how can any one except the Ultra Rich identify with the Republican Party?

answer: Never underestimate the mentality of Middle America
what A delusion for the weak,

where ones cruch is a perception of superiority of the "Other" (anything not American)

On the other side the Democrats are way to good to pariah lifestyles like that of Homesexuals, and generally social liberally

so you have a party Fix where one is ecomomically conservative and socially conservative, and where the other is economocilly conservative and socially liberal

thus the main difference between the two is just Social

where economic issues affects us all yet its not adressed in the most part

and no hope of a 3rd party to change

a delusion and a ruse

Kerry's served on GOP menu as dead duck.
The Boston Herald | Tuesday, August 31, 2004 | Howie Carr

You're John Kerry [related, bio], and the only liberal puke who's had a worse August than you is William Kennedy Smith.

They said it was your election to lose, and you're losing it.

You told 'em you were no Dukakis and you're not. As the Bush campaign pulverized him in August 1988, the Duke ran away to Tanglewood. Sixteen years later, you haven't fled to Tanglewood, you've lammed out for Nantucket.

And now you're holed up in the $9 million mansion on Hulbert Avenue that your second wife's first husband's trust fund bought.

You're John Kerry, and you can't help yourself. Somewhere today you'll just have to cut in some line somewhere and inquire of some poor wage slave, ``Do you know who I am?'' Yes, Senator, you're the narcissistic fop who's blowing the election.

You're John Kerry, and where will Lovey's billion-dollar trust fund treat you to dinner? Perhaps the Chanticleer in Sconset, or do you prefer The Galley on Cliffside Beach?

You're John Kerry, and you're a man of the people. People who are willing to spend $150 on dinner for two, if you don't want any wine.

If only you could sit down with the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, perhaps at Topper's Restaurant at the Wauwinet Inn. If you could just break baguette with them and then partake of a simple three-course dinner. It's one of the best buys on the island, only $78 per person, not including wine. In such a modest eatery, surely you could reason with them.

You're John Kerry, and you could order the food for them: for an appetizer, the poached Hudson Valley foie gras with black mission fig preserve and Portuguese bread. On top of the $78, there's a ``$5 supplement'' for that, and another ``$8 supplement'' if you go for the poached Nantucket lobster navarin.

``O'Neill,'' you could say to the head Swift Boat vet, ``why am I not connecting with the voters? I like all the same things they do - hang-gliding, $35 million Gulfstream jets, ski chalets in Sun Valley . . .''

You're John Kerry, and after a hard day of riding your $8,000 Serotta bike, you owe yourself a big feed, and may I recommend one of our favorites here at Topper's?

Go for the grilled Peking Duck breast and confit with quinoa, tot soi and ginger-peach chutney.

Dead duck, Senator. It's always in season for liberal Massachusetts snots running for president. Not lame duck, but dead duck.

Poink why are you a republican

why?

what have they doen for you EXACTLY

Because he's a hater? They generally tend to go hand in hand. Notice how he referred to liberals as liberal pukes in his post. He's usually hating on someone.

Government doesn't have a responsibility to do anything for you. Just to protect an environment where you can do something for yourself.

I havent the faintist clue what the fuck any of you just said....however, it was quite impressive.

270 million represented by only 2 parties = Priceless

and no one even cares........
because we are all to self absorbed with the vile drink of selfishness.......

Besides, their foie gras sucks.

if you don't like our political party system you have three main options:

1) figure out a new way/party and see that idea through until its completion,
2) shut up, and deal with it; and
3) move to another country where your ideals are more keenly represented.

Why do I identify with the GOP?
I'd vote Libertarian if they didn't keep backing felons and drug pushers.

But short of that, here is why I like the repiblican party.

I like making money and not having it taxed to hell and back. Under Clinton my taxes were raised 5% once during each term for a net tax hike of 10%.

I like knowing my small business won't be regulated to hell and back.

I like knowing I'll be able to own guns and use them in self-defense without fear of government retribution and/or being forced to register all of them for no good reason.

I like knowing my country will continue to foster a strong military.

I like knowing my government is working to improve and increase intelligence gathering efforts to help keep my country safe.

1) you can;t have a 3rd party break through to the national stage due to something called the Electoral college (LOOK INTO IT)
2) Really I thought "Democracy" meant talking about issues and increasing debate
3) Wow so much for freedom, if you don;t like what the English Crown, oh I mean The US led my imperialist you had better leave....

Priceless yet again

Also for me add -

-I don't believe in welfare
-I hate the fact that social security takes a chunk out of my wages - while I have to save 100% for my own retirement...

I used to think like Code and Becoming....

but now the fiscal issues just aren't good enough for me anymore.

Sure I like low taxes... I don't like social security while I still have to put my own money into my 401k..

but it has come to a point where I would GLADY pay 10% more in taxes to enjoy freedom..... basic freedoms that Republicans seem to attack at ever juncture. BAN gay marriage with a constitutional ammendment? WTF??? Does that not go against the very principles that this country was founded on? Ban stem cell research?

Both of those issues are RELIGIOUSLY motivated. Wake the fuck up and smell the coffee people.. this country was founded to get away from religious persecution. not to create it.

As far as taxes and wellfare, some of it is a neccsary evil.

Why do you think we have the bill gates here, the ultra rich, the succesfull companies that DOMINATE the world economy.. why is that? Its because this country is a very FERTILE land economically.. and EVERYONE contributes.

Imagine going into work one day but no one fucking cleaned your bathrooms, vaccumed the halls.. the supply rooms were not stocked... the coffee wasn't made.. what the fuck... my CEO is a billionaire, and he could NOT have made his money without the help of THOUSANDS of middle and lower class americans who did simple things.. things that will NEVER pay 50K a year.. things that do NOT provide enough money to raise a family, take an annual vacation, or even eat decent food every day of the week.

The people who make their money here only do so because this country has the infrastructure setup to do so.. and that infrastructure is maintained by middle america... THAT is why we subsidize college educations with state and federal funding.. THAT is why there are government services paid for by tax dollars... ever member of the super rich owes something back to the land and the people that made them who they are today.. republicans love to say its because the people made bad choices, thats why they are poor and uneducated.. and rich people made the good choices and worked hard. Fuck you. That is true to some extent, but are you telling me that we are all of equal intelligence? I'll be the first to say hell no. I'm smarter then the average middle american.. but does that mean I deserve more? Not automatically.

Wake up America!
