Everything has to do with timing. Before they trightened up credit cards, guys would get as many as possible over a year and then cash advance to the max. They simply wouldn't pay it back and default. Wait 7 years for your credit to come back but if you have enough cash you don't need credit.

For you young ones they use to send you a plastic creditcard in the mail. Just use it and you've opened an account, all pre approved etc. They also didn't have cash advance limits, walk into a bank and walk out with your entire credit line in cash.
