reverse grip bench

i've read quite a bit about the reverse grip bench but nobody i know uses it so can i get some opinions on its effectiveness? thx.
 
All I have read/heard is hard on the wrists and too much of a chance of injury because of that and the grip.
Personally I would pick another chest exercise.

It's a tricep exercise and I think it works well but yes it can be hard on the wrists.
 
It's a solid triceps excercise if it doesnt bother your wrists; get some wrist wraps and that should help a bit.

To me the best thing about them is that they keep your elbows tucked and they make you bring the bar low on the chest. All that being said, I don't use them much, but think they are a solid exercise.
