I have just changed over to a new routine and I'm almost through with the first week,I did chest Mon,and that muscle is just getting over being sore, legs from tuesday are still a little sore, back from wedsnday is pretty sore,I've got arms fri and shoulders sat, question is ,do you just kinda work through this soreness or wait for it to subside?I hear people say don't workout if your still sore,do they mean mainly don't work that sore muscle group?

If I am doing a new routine it might take me a couple weeks to get use to it. I still will follow the workout schedule even if I am sore. There is a difference between just being sore from an exercise and hurting from an injury. Injuries, I let heal, soreness I work through.

I agree with Big4Life. I try to schedule my split so that soreness has a minimal interference with the rest of my training, but when Im still sore, I just work through it, unless I have an extra day off in my week. I try to only take 2 days off per week. If I need the rest real bad Ill take it though. If your using a new routine then you should adjust within a few weeks.

I agree, lifting through soreness (when you have passed the peak) is fine. As long as it is not an injury soreness.
I find that after adjusting to a routine 2-3 weeks, I barely get sore and have to keep adding sets and reps and playing around with all these stats etc in order to get sore, but still it will be nothing like the soreness when I start a new routine. Also, last time I got really sore on a new routine, I was still sore after a week, I could barely move my triceps. I then did a workout for my triceps and then enxt day all soreness had gone. So sometimes you need to workout to get rid of the soreness....
