anyone know that hip hop song that has the requiem for a dream main theme song as the backround beat..
 
great movie.. i found the song.. its lil jon by east side boys.. holy shit thats a great song to pump you up during a workout..
 
i've seen it like 40 times.. i think its funny how some some people can't even finish watching the movie..
 
At first I when I saw the wayans dude on it I thought he was going to be funny and/or silly. I was surprised and impressed by his acting abilities in a serious role.
 
awesome flick. I think the most disturbing character was the mom with her speed pills, just watching her made me nervous.
 
Lux Aeterna by Clint Mansell. I didn't have to google that or anything, I just know it. I have the soundtrack. One of favorite overtures/songs.
 
Fucked up movie. Have an old high school buddy who is now a junky I believe and he loves that movie. Don't hear from him much anymore. Was and always will be one of my best friends. I love fucked up movies about drugs and all especially independent films, but druggies fall in love with them and watch them repeatedly.

I cringed a number of times, but I was able to finish it no problem.

I wonder how many people think those guys were shooting heroin and not coke.
 
All I gotta say is there are some great one liners in that one. Like when the old man busts out the huge double ender and said "Ass to ass." Clearly one of Jennifer Connely's best roles.

You can inject cocaine, and that's what they were doing. No one shoots or snorts heroin and then has sex. Coke you can do that, heroin you really can't. You can, but it's not going to be very good sex.

She snorted her coke, the guys injected theirs. It was heavily implied that she was snorting and the guys were shooting.

wow bro.. are you kidding? you think the movie producer actually thought about 'oh well people can't have sex while they're on heroin' so we better throw this scene out..

sorry you def way wrong bro the movie is about heroin addiction... if you dont think so do some research on the movie.. coke is measured in kilo's not pounds btw..

Have to agree with Phaded.......they were definitely booting H. Have you ever tried shooting coke and then having sex? I've seen people boot coke before and there is NO WAY they were having sex any time soon.

Regardless.....that movie leaves that general public with a "dirty" feeling. I would call it a good movie if it can spark a reaction like that in most people.
 
It´s a good movie but it does not REALLY show the downward spiral. More like the fall after already losing grip. The characters are fairly hopeless from the beginning. Its gripping or at least was to me the first time I saw it

Not least because of the Kronos Quartet theme song

I know too much about drugs, so I fall into that 1%.

I looked it up, you're right, it's about heroin. Now I find the movie to be seriously flawed in it's aspect to portray any sort of realism of the life of addicts. IMO, if you're going to do it, do it right and portray it as realistically as possible.

if they did that the movie would be completely different and prob. be not near as good.. like the shit with sarah goldfarb taking the pills.. no one hallucinates that bad from taking pills or at all.. however.. the part of the movie when she was hallucinating was sick.. know what i'm saying pal? ..

Well, she went crazy from the pills and shit happens. Some can handle it, some can't.

If you watch the movie from a coke perspective, it makes a lot of sense. If you watch it from a heroin perspective, it just doesn't work very well. That's why I saw the movie from a coke perspective, it just all seemed to fit.

watched that movie today, if anyone has any more disturbing movies to recommend I'll watch them...that movie was the most disturbing I've ever seen.
