Rep Range?

Ive been trying the 5X5 program for 2 weeks and I like it, it gives me some good pumps. However in the next couple months I wanna try to get more cut up. Is theres a particular rep range I should focus on?

Also I know that the time between sets and diet is importnat with gettinng cut up to

getting cut has absolutely NOTHING to do with rep range. Diet and cardio are key.

rep range does have an effect on condition. if i go to the gym and do 10 sets of 1 rep. my strength and apparence will be much different than if i to the gym and do 10 sets of 20 reps. diet is extremely important but unless your skip lacour your training dictates your apperance to some/great degree. everyone is different.

It's generally believed, and what works best for me, is 6-8 rep range when bulking. I add lots of mass in this range. 12-15 rep. range seems to work better for "refining" the muscle group, giving more definiton and shape. When I'm adding mass, I usually (after warming up!) do a first set of each exercise in the 10-12 rep range, then 3 sets in the 6-8 rep range. This is what Tom Prince does alot of too--helps to make sure the body part is all warmed up and ready for the new exercise before going heavy--ever try going right from incline dumbel presses to dedcline bench? It can be funky for the first set, so it's just safer to do that higher rep. set first.

That's what works for me. Try different things and see what works best for you.
