everything the catholic church teaches has foundation in the bible. there are 100's of scholars and others that try to intepret the bible, and of course shit is going to get mixed up. The catholic church keeps tradition while remaining true to what is said in the gospel..now if you want to get into the saints, the virgin mary, and other stuff..well thats a whole other thread. My best freind is christian, and we have our discussions back and forth when it comes to catholasism. But to this day, i always look in the bible trying to find a response to quesitons about catholasism.
Str8 i think you're right bro. the catholic church takes a lot of criticism, but it is not perfect; just like everything else in this world. the church does have its faults, but for the most part it is right. You're right when you said that catholicism IS based in the bible and tries to maintain tradition, and unlike many other religions of the world today, the catholic church has adopted to changes in culture and tradition. Many will argue against with church, without any justification, their reason is just based on their objective opinions. But there is an opponent to everything today.
