Religious Conviction And Steroids.

BIGRICH, I'm not sure if God totally disapproves of any AAS use. I'm just not sure. But you are right that we all sin and, in the end, it is by what is in our hearts that we will will be judged by.

Interesting...

Very philosophical question... You'll get 100's of different opinions, since how God feels about anything not directly listed in any of the holy books is left to interpretation.

God doesn't enjoy debauchery, or anything in excess. In many parts of the Bible it states that everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial. As well, if you must do something, make sure you do it the right way.

Immediate gratification is the antithesis of the bible - so you're actually supposed to be patient and faithful... You can interpret this as meaning that steroids give immediate gratification, but in the long run may not provide happiness, so you should refrain. Then again, maybe in small amounts it may not be as bad...

Overall, if it's illegal where you live, you're breaking the law, something God doesn't advocate, so you can look at it that way too.

It's a mixed bag. :mix:

At the gym the other day there was this poster about a group of athletes who went around and did demonstrations of strength etc, bench press, bend bars and stuff like that. They had all thier pics on this small poster and I can gurantee not a one of them was natural. Anyways, come to find out they were sponsored by a church and thier message was one to keep kids off the street, off drugs and out of trouble. I found it all rather ironic.

I once had a talk with God I told him I was juicing in order to kick the morons in the streets. I think he OK with me...

I think vanity is a sin in most religions. So if you are using just to look good well then I guess you are a sinner. In my religion steriodolgy, I pray to the juice gods every night that my packages lest not get seized and that my shit is real.

God totally disapproves of any AAS use, but God lets you make your own choices. Remember there are consequences for everything you do. And when you start to get sides and sick from AAS that is the way He will punish you.
“everyone sins and falls short of the glory of God” God knows your heart, and what your intentions are. So protect your heart. Don’t let AAS be your God.
I feel that as long as I don't let it take over my life, and put it before God that I can still have relationship with God.

Bigrich,

Have you been sent by God to let people know exactly how he feels. What makes you think that you know God believes it is wrong. What reason would God have for believing AAS was wrong.

As far as punishment for AAS. I am much healthier at 30 years old than I was at 25, prior to using AAS. Is it the AAS that made me healthier or the lifestyle which I live.

I DO TREAT MY BODY AS A TEMPLE, WHICH IS WHAT GOD TELLS US TO DO.
