I'm applying to a private university in about a month and it turns out I need two letters of reference. As this is a private school, they have different admission requirements than public institutions. Oh, I'd be transfering from my current university -- I'm not a high school student.
The letters have to come from professors or employers. Now, I can swing one...probably. But there's no way in hell I can find two upstanding individuals who know me well enough to vouch for me. So I'm thinking about a) forging one; or b) getting one of my friends (while pretending to be a former employer) to write one for me. Devious, yes...but I'm not gonna let that stop me.
My grades are fine (average is in the mid-90's), and my resume looks good (plenty of experience related to the degree program). I'm just ticked that I need the damn letters to get in.
Any ideas are appreciated.
