I also tend to like to use more machines towards the end of a work-out when I am more fatigued for the extra support and control as far as performing the motion correctly.

I'm with you on this 100% - I do the same thing.

Re: NEW Treilin Log

Hope you had fun on your date, Treil! Yes...details! Some of us are living our love lives through others like you!

Re: NEW Treilin Log

HAPPY EASTER :)
O.k. sooo today I'm getting sick of chicken!!! Sticking with it. I'm supposed to get my new foods today at some point. I can tell though I'm dropping some body fat. Not a lot at this point.
I'm hungry I just want to go downstairs and eat some carb thing!
Trying not to think about it.... Also I'm SO SORE from friday's work-out. I can hardly walk and almost fell twice today from my quads staying contracted. I've been just doing some massage on them. They feel better.

Awesome, I bet you might know my trainer. He talks about his power lifting friends, though he is not one himself.

Re: NEW Treilin Log

April 17th
1 week down 13 weeks to go
Weight 148.6
Still sore today. I got the new food split. It's exactly the same just less oatmeal (ERRRR my favorite food in the meal plan!) I have a feeling I'm going to turn into a chicken after 13 more weeks of this!
My weights are exactly the same just my reps have lowered to 4-6.
Cardio is at 35 minutes 5 days a week, LSD.

I did my 35 minutes this a.m. after yohimburn application and 1CB

The CB has really helped me as far as energy goes!!! I think that's why I'm still sore from friday. It made me hit the weights harder.

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

Apr 18
Weight 148.6 my little scale BF told me I was at 28.2% now, he he he
Feeling good this a.m.
Did my 35 minutes a.m. cardio
Spoke with my trainer yesterday. He said,"It's a little early for you to be getting sick of chicken!" I guess I'm not at the phase yet where I have to take a bite and swallow it with water. So so far so good.
I had a dream last night I was eating choclate. :) It tasted so good. The best part was I was savoring every bite and not wolfing it all down. I haven't wanted any chocolate actually. I haven't had any sweet cravings.
I had a dream last week I pigged out on chocolate and PB and I woke up and had about a heart attack thinking I really had. I was so upset until I realized it was just a dream... THANK GOD.
I'm definitely in the right frame of mind and feeling the diet and the training program .
I can actually walk today with no soreness, yippee!!! I did a lot of stretching especially after my a.m. cardio when my muscles are nice and warm.
Besides that... Nothing else new to report!

Nope, that's just how it's beginning. Like I said that's the boat anchor scale not actual BF caliper pinch. I get to do that this friday.

Ahhh...got it. So he doesn't have a plan for you to lose X amount of pounds or bodyfat %? Just curious.

Hmmm...chocolate and PB dreams sound good. I dreamt of bloody noses last night...probably because I got 2 yesterday.

Bloody noses??? What's up?
He plans on me coming in at about 125-130 at about 10-12% BF

I have been taking milk thistle lately... I just think I started remembering my dreams since I was little that I automatically recall them when I wake up now. Most people just forget their dreams or don't even think about what they are dreaming.

I ALWAYS remember mine, I can taste, feel and dream in color. They say people who dream a lot are more "in tune" with other dementions (shall we say)....we'll just leave it at that for now. Maybe we'll talk about it later....people think I'm nutty sometimes because of my beliefs! lol

Urg....chicken....blah! I switch to canned here and there because actual chicken breast gets to me. Do you have a crockpot/slow cooker? Throw some (a lot) in there with some seasoning for 6-8 hours....when it's done it will "melt in your mouth".......Mmmmmmmm

I do have a slow cooker!!!! THANKS I'm doing that tonight I just ran out of chicken!!!
Do you add any water? How much? I have some onion too... hmmm
As far as dreams I've never heard it quite put like that but that's an idea.... I don't think it's 'real' obvious here but I do attend church twice a week, and pray a LOT. So maybe... :whatever:

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

April 19 2006
Weight 148.6
Feeling o.k. Kinda tired, but I rolled out of bed and hit the tread for 35 this a.m. at about 5:30. I didn't get to bed last night till 11 because I was working until 10p.m.
I really typically need my 8 hours.
No weights today. I'm doing a massage trade with my friend after work. Get my hip flexors worked on.
I met a figure competitor at the gym yesterday who works for MetRX and is going to Junior Nationals. It's pretty cool because she invited me to do some posing with her!
My work-out yesterday was so speed through... I still feel like I hit my back good... Just not as good as if I didn't have to hurry through it.
Hope everyone has a good day today:) Half way done with the week! YIPPEEE

(Almost forgot to add)
I was doing my bent over rows with a 55 DB, and this guy made a point to bend over to get into my face to let me know he was talking to me. I take my head piece out and I was like,"Yeah?" He said,"Are you going to curl with that?" I said, "Uhhh no!" He said,"I bet you could! Look at your arms!" I said,"Well thanks but no." He said,"You should try, come on try 1!" I said," No thanks I don't want too.! He said,"O.k....." It was just funny because he just kept watching me run all over the gym doing different things and then when my boss at the gym came up and handed me one of my shirts I ordered he was kinda like ohhhh and then vanished.

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

It's my log and I'm venting:
I am soooooooooooooo PISSED
I cannot believe this. My friend has been having a lot of issues with her breasts and she doesn't have the money to see a doctor. She finally saved up enough to gat a mammogram and the doctor is messing around with her. So she goes to her church where there is this other doctor she was telling this too. The doctor at her church flat out looked at her and said "I think you have CANCER!" WHY THE F*CK would someone say that to someone???????? So she told my friend she wanted her in her office ASAP to run tests. My friend is totally freaking out and I want to hit that doctor upside the head. I can't even begin to explain the absolute absurdity that some people have. How could you look at soemone as a doctor not even in a clinical setting, without running any tests, and tell them that??!!!! Especially when she is by herself no family here. She came over from Hungry. I want to throw something....
ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

If you believe in prayer please pray for her.

I think that is a good idea to go with her. Does she have to pay for the 2nd doctor? I think what the 2nd doctor said to her was crap but if the first doctor is dicking her around and the 2nd doctor isn't going to charge her maybe it is a good thing she get another opinion.

At the first doctor she paid $185 for this mammogram and they didn't even offer her the digital mammogram that tells more for $160. The secodn doctor is paying for her to get the digital one done. Which is good, but that doctor should have never told her she thought she had cancer!!!!

Treil I understand why you are upset... but what specifically did your friend say to this doctor for her to make such an invalid statement? I can see leaving out the C issue, & focusing on the "come in for some tests etc..." in a professional patient tone ... but I do agree, that if the 'doctor' had absolutely NO basis to make such a claim, or Diagnosis, than it should have been handled in a more competent manner ... that term is not to be thrown around, I would think the MD would know better

No he should not of, people just don't think sometimes. Again I am glad you are going with her and I hope everything turns out ok

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

I really think Dr. #1 really needs to take a course on ethics and bedside manner. It is absolutely 100% unprofessional and unethical that he would just have shit spew from his mouth with NO exam, no testing...NOTHING to back it!

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

Thanks ladies I totally agree!
She told doctor 2 that she had the tests done and that doc 1 was screwing with her. All she told doc 2 was that she had blood coming out of one of them and then the doctor said the term "Cancer", and that she could have it to get into her office ASAP. So this happened sunday and she is going today at 3:40 so I'm off....

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

I hope all is well with your friend. I will definitely say a prayer for her. :)

Let us know how it goes, Treil.

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

Well I went yesterday with my friend and her tests will be back today. She just got the mammogram done. They couldn't tell her anything....
So she's of course stressed.
So I'm waiting to hear from her......

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

April 20th 2006
Weight 148.6 (holding for 4 days)
I have a feeling it will be down tomorrow. I've been tracking it and it held for 4 days and then dropped last time. We'll see. I also get my BF test done tomorrow evening.
35 min. cardio this a.m. Didn't really want to get up but I did.
Weights this evening. My favorite weight day :) Chest, Biceps, and Triceps.

Thanks for asking, she does not have cancer!!! She does have to have some sort of procedure done that I will be taking her to get done. They think her mammary ducts are blocked. I have been saying this from the begin with that she has a serious infection that has caused inflammation and that's why they are so sore. Imagine putting your breast on ice!!!! Yeah that's what she has been doing.
So that doctor freaked her out for no reason!!!! Idiot!

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

April 21st
THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
weight 148.6 no weight change, so I was wrong.
A.m. cardio 35 minutes
Tonight I have weights with the trainer, quads and calves. I will also be getting my BF done.
I was able to put on a pair of pants for the first time in 6 months this morning and they are loose. YES!!! I'm so ready to get into my other clothes. I think I have wore out my "bigger" pants.
Busy day today....
Come onnnnn 3:00

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

Weight same, lower pants size = body fat drop, muscle gain?! So cool, if that's happening!

Doing good thanks for asking!
I have some massages scheduled this weekend, and that's about it... Mowing the yard maybe.

FUNNY thing..... O.k. so I'm training clients now obviously. Well I have a new client come in yesterday who is French. So some language barrier... but nothing to bad. I had to talk to him for two hours before he would consider working with me, WTF!!! He then in the middle of the talk told me that he wanted to talk to another trainer that he wanted a SOFTER approach to building muscle! I kinda laughed and I said, "you think building muscle is easy?" (His goal = building muscle) Then he told me he didn't want to mess with his diet.... I started laughing. O.k. maybe I came across rude at some points because after an hour of talking to this guy I got to the point like... Ya know I told you what I can do if it's not what you are looking for there are plenty of other trainer's. I want to work with those that want to kick some butt.
So he finally decided to do it... so next Tuesday he's getting his butt kicked!!!!
I also trained another guy yesterday who told me it was the hardest work-out he ever had. I almost made him pass out twice. Not my fault... The guy only ate an apple 2 HOURS before showing up.

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

You know what I found training people tre?

The women are usually great. They really want to learn proper form and don't really care about the weights. I always had trouble with the guys. They either wanted to lift too heavy with improper form or they wanted to lift too light and complained all the time that I pushed too hard.

I also hate the people that come to you and have you train them and then basically want affirmation on how what they are doing is right. "I don't usually do this." "Squats are bad for the knees." "This is the best exercise for chest." If you know, why are you paying me to train you? I usually tell people that I train that have worked out in the past 2 things: 1. Forget what you know and try things my way 2. My way isn't the only way to train, but let's just give it a shot.

Man I hate the guys that whine. That is probably why I train only a couple people anymore. I don't have a lot of time and only a couple of people are worth looking after in my situation.

You will need a lot of patience and best of all, you will have a lot of fun stories to tell.

My step sister had the same thing happen to her "mams" - she was in EXCRUTIAING pain. I'm glad her mind has been put at ease and she can take a deep breath now.

It's so funny....I see trainers working with people all the time. The walking lunges REALLY get on my nerves. That Knee doesn't quite make it to the floor with every step (and sometimes it's more like 6-8 inches from the floor) and the trainer doesn't say anything. If it were me, I'd be behind them saying "knee to the floor, knee to the floor, knee to the floor, c'mon get it down there.....let's make this count....one more.....one more....."

Oh, they'd LOVE me!!! lol

So you're liking the PT so far then?

Hope you have a good weekend! I had no idea that you were a massage therapist!

Yeah I think I can only handle a few of these people a week. I make more doing massage and I don't have to go anywhere... And well there usually is no talking anyway.
I do like training... I just feel I'm going to get overly irritated with peolple who don't want to put the effort in. It's so backwards from what they told me. I was told most of the people I would train would be women between the ages of 25-40. I have trained 6 or 7 people now and only one women.
So I got an e-mail from French dude saying he's all psyched... I hope he realizes there is no soft approach to creating muscle....

I like it... Some of it's irriating because people don't want to commit. I had to run into the mall today to grab some stuff. So I had my Gym shirt on and name tag. Both stores I walked in the ladies were like could you get me into shape for summer. So I gave them my card told them to go over to the gym. Maybe I could get more participants by going around town with my shirt on ??!

Weight 146.6, It went down :)
I had my BF done but I think he screwed it up. I went there after I went tanning... not thinking about the tanning lotion... Anyway it came out I was 28% BF. Who knows.

So today I got up and didn't have to do cardio. Yippeee I mowed the yard and worked instead...
I was so hungry last night. I knew I was really hungry becase I would have ate a chicken breast... and you all know how much chicken I'm eating!!!
Anyway Pretty Woman is on... Gotta run :)

Weight 147.6, (Bloated today)
Felt pretty good this a.m. for cardio, feeling a bit tired now.
40 minutes a.m. slow cardio
Not to much else to report...
Food is the same this week accept Whole wheat pasta servings went down, and egg whites went up.
Cardio at 5 days 40 minutes LSD.

Yeah well.... I'm not sure he has ever been able to accurately measure my BF... He seems to do well with the other girls but he says I have thick skin and it throws him off. He did say that it felt like I has some subcutaneous water under the skin. Which he thought could be induced by the tanning before I went. I can tell a difference when I squeeze my upper arm. Before it was hard to squeeze I think because of swelling and water, but now it feels a lot different. Yet I still stand at 28% BF...
The bad part is he's moving to Vegas he right after my competition and so he is gone all the time. Pretty much I think he is stressed out and running ragged because I hardly ever see him in the gym, he's always doing seminars.
I think I may ask my other PT friend to take it and see what she gets....

Morning, Treil! Sounds like things are going well. Did you enjoy your weekend?
Yes ma 'am how are you holding up??? Hopefully you got some R&R in, I know you needed it!!!

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

I'm actually doing alright. Work is KILLING me right now. I've had to work from 2 AM to 4 AM for 5 days straight. :worried: I think that should end today.

Weekend was good, too. My cousin's wife gave him a surprise party at a club(me...at a club...:eek2: ) and I did some shopping. If work slows down, things will be looking NICE on this end for once! ;)

Ah...28% my azz. There's no way.

Thanks ladies :)

Weight 147.8 (Bloated) I can tell my friend is uh coming
Yesterday's work-out was pretty good, kinda tired. I did take 2 CB beforehand though.
Today 40 min a.m. LD cardio. This evening weights.
Overall feeling pretty good though. I can tell I'm getting tighter despite the excess H2O at the current time.
Food is going good... I haven't been too hungry. I may be adding in the Thermorexin soon though.
Also, I seem to be recovering from my work-outs a lot better since I started adding in 20 minutes of stretching after my a.m. cardio. I feel a lot better and less stiff!!!
I also had my BF done by another person yesterday and they got 23%.... So who knows

I hope everyone has a great day!!!!

I didn't go back too far in your log, but I couldn't find your current stats- height, weight, measurements and/or pants/dress size?

For those of you who pray, pray for my mom she is having open heart surgery in the next 2 days.
This is why I'm so active! Fitness and eating right are a healthy lifestyle. I want to live my life to the fullest and not be debilitated by oncurring disease and sickness that arrises with the general population today.
You have to keep moving!

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

Thanks EVeryone :) :rose:

Sooo I haven't delt with this before but I took a TREX at lunch. First time in about 10 months. I decided to start adding it in due to hunger beginning to go up. So I took it with my food and within 10 minutes I was running to the bathroom?!?!? Anyone have this? I don't remember this.

 Stay strong. My thoughts are with you and your mom.

One of my girls in the office went through the same thing last week, with her mother-in-law. Modern medicine is a wonderful thing and her mother is now recovering at home.

I also have some guy asking me to put together a diet and work-out program already. Funny I think my energy over working-out gets other people excited about working out.

Re: Treils 2006 Competition Log

Thanks all! Mom made it through emergency a.m. surgery. She looks really bad when I saw her but at least I was there because teh stupid nurse wasn't considering asking her yes and no questions to see if she needed something!! I told my dad before I left every time you see her make sure you are asking her questions (yes/no) because she can't talk, doesn't even open her eyes, but she nods her head. Talk about an intense 5 hours of waiting around and trying to help keep my dad together. She'll be in intensive care through tomorrow. So far the RN said she is doing really well. She had 2 95% blocked arteries and one partial. They had to take the artery out of her arm because her leg circulation is not that great. Anyway I haven't slept since yesterday so I'm going to bed now. Ohhhhh and everyone will be proud... I had a huge cooler of all of my food, and just watched other people eat Taco Bell and cookies out of the vending machine.

My grandmother had a quad bipass a couple of years ago - at 71! She made it thru the surgery ok and was looking great and on the 3rd night she got worse. The 2nd and/or 3rd days after this surgery seems to be the down point and then they come back up and pull thru. I've had 3 grandparents go thru this - and they are all still kickin'. The point of my rambling......she may go thru the same thing, so be prepaired - but STAY POSITIVE!

I remember my grandmother in the ICU. They had to put her in restraints because she didn't like the tube down her throat and kept pulling it out. She was doing great - couldn't talk - and when we would ask her questions, she would nod and then her hands would start moving like she was talking. When we couldn't understand her, she would shake her head and get all pissed off. It was HILARIOUS!!! She was doing well and on her best behavior so they took her restraints off thinking she would just lay there and recover quietly with that tube down her throat.........she pulled it again - and got her way! lol
....just a little story for ya'.

People really do bounce back from this surgery quite easily. She'll be OK, Treil - no tears ((((((BIG HUG))))))
