As I get older, yeah start cracking them, I find my recovery periods are longer. Give me some help here with supps that can decrease my required recovery window.

I take L-Arginine, Ornathine and L-Tryptophan in 90 day cycles twice a year to help with this process. Is there something else I can do the other half the year when I am off my favorite Amino romp.
 
Try drinking a high GI carb drink during the workout as it keeps insulin levels high and cortisol levels a bit lower during the workout.

Take some extra anti-oxidants - Vitamin C, E, co-enzyme Q-10 and some Alpha Lipoic Acid. Make sure you have a good multi vitamin/mineral as well. Think of these items as spark plugs.

There are some specific Cortisol lowering compounds, namely PS but research is sketchy.

Try adding soem EFA namely Flax seed oil to the diet.
