I got a job for when I finally graduate from school, it is with one of the big C.A. firms (accounting). I am looking to get a brad new car com this summer when the prices drop in August. Can you guys recommend anything you are driving now for about $20,000? That is in US dollars. Or tell me what to stay away from? I was thinking of something somewhat sporty or what not. I’m only an accountant by title. If I could afford it I would be driving a Grand Prix GT Turbo off the lot but I think it is out of my range, but what can you guys recommend?

Remember I have to drive in the Canadian winters up here…

Forget that, there is nothing wrong with used cars, I might get something a lot cheaper and just as good, recommend away.

Don't buy a new car, it will only be worth 15K by the end of the first year...

yep. unless its a toyota or honda, i dont think they depreciate nearly as fast, but i would highly recommend not buying any new american cars. Just get a 2 year old car its about 60% the price of a new one.

It depends on what you want. do you want reliability, sportiness, a nice interior, or what?

I would get a Toyota Camry, but thats just me because i like reliability.

Honda Accord I have over 100k miles on my 1994 LX. I bought for 16k pus taxes warrantee =18k total, new.

It`s not a sports car but... that could be your next car after you make partner at the firm. lol

I was going to suggest a sub, awd is great in this shit weather,we just started getting the snow here in brantford a few hours ago and I have a fwd acclaim with bald tires:mad:

HOLY SHIT 20K?

BUY USED.

Stay within Honda (top choic) Toyota (close 2nd) , Nissan, Mazda, and Subaru (if you live where there's lots of snow)

For 20k you should be alble to get a car that is still under warranty.
