bro, as a poster you have changed
some would say for the better, most would proly say for the worse
when did you become mr.bigshothollywoodallstar?
name dropping, income dropping, making fun of those with "bossess" and regular jobs.
seems like yesterday you were blue collar bar band rocker bro who joined the military for extra coin.
now it's bling bling
what's the deal /

I still say you're confusing 'razorguns' with 'razorgunz', but as long as we have his attention, I have a few questions.

Any advice for soliciting scripts in Hollywood if you don't have an agent? Or, any advice in securing a literary agent? Does the Guggenheim kick your ass if you take a pic of artwork? Anyone die in the La Brea Tarpits? Did Uwe Boll nose dive off the Hollywood sign yet? Thank you.

dude barely knows anything, and refuses to acknowledges posts that prove him wrong. He was pretty much embarassed in the T.I. thread; it was clear he didn't know shit about rappers or the rap industry, but he'll just backtrack or ignore as long he has to so he can keep running his mouth. The income thing was just a joke, and there's no way he's a bigshot; simply by virtue of the fact that he's so unlikeable. wouldn't be surprised if he still lives with his parents

Did MTS ever finish building his house?

I would like to take this opportunity to remind any young, impressionable minds that there is nothing wrong with living with your parents as an adult. Some people happen to have very good relationships with their parents - mutually beneficial, therapeutic, loving relationships. Not to mention, some people wish to return the favor of a happy childhood by sticking around and helping out where they can in times of need.

Now that I think about it, moving back home really doesn't sound so bad....maybe in a few years when I hit 30 but I'm simply too young at this point. High five? Anybody?[/QUOTE]

Weird. I remain confident that the whole living with your folks past 30 thing will catch on for sure.

i think i would be more comfortable with buying them a house next door.

how do you measure income in "value of guitars"???

Wouldn't guitars be considered "assets" and not "income"?

Even if you were paid in guitars, try buying a house with that.

I am trying to figure out exactly how that clock would keep time and I am telling you, it'd be tricky to get it to do what you are saying.

if the clock was stuck at 4:08 (unless digital of course and wouldnt turn on) then at 4:08 am and 4:08pm everday it would have the correct time.

he is was rich he would not of bought that pc from best buy.. just saying lol

Lol yea, but I don't actually think he believed in all that black helicopters & government Z-men going for him.

I like Razorgun's rants - there seems to be a certain fanaticism to them / him.

yo all his posts rehash one of 3 ideas:

1. the media wants controversy
2. government is trying to control us
3. all americans are shallow, stupid, lazy drones who get exploited by their bosses and love it.

Back when I was married to my first loser of a husband WE had to live back home with my parents while we were selling our condo and waiting to move into the little 3 bedroom ranch that my ex eventually sold out from under my children (but that is another thread)... I HATED living home with my parents for that ONE MONTH and would rather have my brains removed through my nose with a rusty coathanger than to go through such a harrowing experience again (my younger sister agrees with this assessment).

I have no f'ing clue what you are talking about.

Be a man/woman and make your own way in the world.

Thank you.

I'm sorry I didn't see that post.

There's a book/course written by this Canadian guy I know who lives in LA, Rob Tobin. It's a complete description of the entire scriptwriting process/business.

http://home.earthlink.net/~scripts/gym/

Think of scripts as songs written by local bands. If you send it to Sony - they won't even listen to it. They don't want to be sued. Same with unsolicited scripts. For legal reasons - it goes in the trash.

So you need an agent. Someone to 'sell' and 'vouch' for you. For that, requires talent, skills, competence and the ability for someone to 'believe' in you. I know easier said than done right. Kinda like having a band wanting to become rock stars. Not so easy.

My advice. Get yourself established. Work. Publish. Keep it interesting and unique and have that 'wow' factor. Stand by it.

If writing is your love - write. Write theater plays, newspaper articles, books, anything. Publish it. Keep it professional. Keep the stories marketable and interesting. Be aggressive. Get yourself known. Make noise (look at me on EF lol!). Make phone calls. Start off being a revision scriptwriter. (ie: Quick changes, they call you).

You wanna be that person who gets work on tues, delivers thursday morning. Over and over again. Be 'that guy (or girl)'. Dependable. Professional.

That's all I can suggest. I'm not really well versed in this area - not my career. But that site may answer a lot of questions.

Other q's - no idea!

We had our own apartment in the house so whether I had a good relationship w/my parents or not would have mattered very little. As my ex put it, living back in my parents' house again "turned me back into who I used to be"... always on edge, etc.

Maybe it's just me but being separate from who I was as a kid was important to me. I mean, I was a good kid (got good grades and never got into any REAL trouble) but I definitely liked the adult who I had become once I was able to have the freedom and responsibility of being an adult.

Interesting though because I have had so much time stolen from my role as a parent to my own children, I do hope that they will take their time leaving MY household... that is, once I can finally get them here.

Or at least, I THINK that would be a good thing for us. :whatever: ..... I suppose we shall cross that bridge when we get there.

living with your parents as an adult is not so bad

when i sold my first house and my second was being built, i had three months in between where i had no where to live.

all the places that had rent month to month where shitty as hell so my husband and i lived with my parents for three months

and i enjoyed it - i really got to know my parents better as an adult, and i actually put up my own dishes for the first time instead of leaving pots and pans allover the house.

it was humbling as well having my car parked out in the driveway knowing full well what my situation was but not having a chance to explain to neighbors who thought i ended up a loser

plus i saved $$ and was able to purchase some extra nice stuff for my new house and my parents were allowed to help me one last time

just thought i'd throw that out there

OK... I'll buy that. :)

I was in the same situation with my ex. I had 2 young children at the time. We lived with my parents for one month, had our own apartment totally separate from my parent's part of the house but it was nothing like the experience you had with yours.

I'm happy for you that it worked out in a positive way.

As I said, I am still grappling with the notion of having my children continue to live with me when they are past the age of high school <---a time when I feel ALL CHILDREN should live on their own. But that is MY OPINION and am fully aware that my opinion is like everybody else's asshole. :lmao:

I didnt have kids either so i was able to come and go, (and basically get away) whenever i pleased so if i didnt have that opportunity i'd bet that we'd be down eachother's throats too.

when i need to focus on something and not be interrupted by "la" - i fly 3-4 times a year to stay with my parents. but i have a room. not a basement, ahem! My fortress of solitude.

carry on. i feel like a celeb. :)
