I have the state-issued certificate on my desk and the official stamp with my name on it....and the certificate was granted by governor Ventura....so that makes it extra amusing. And yes, Addickt did get my very first stamp and signature. I promised it to him.

Nope, notaries can't get married. We don't have to take a vow of celibacy though. I did have to get a criminal background check run on me though. Luckily I haven't yet commit any crimes....or not that they know of. I guess I can't now since I'm a pillar of the community.

A notary is a person who is liscenced to be able to be a witness. Like if you were signing legal documents that needed to be notarized, you'd sign them in front of me and then I'd sign next to you and stamp it....then it would be official.

I wouldn't be opposed to a long term relationship with someone I was very good friends with. I wouldn't need a wedding to have that committment. It wouldn't likely go over well with my family, but ultimately if I'm being true to myself, I don't care what anyone thinks.

I would love to meet someone, run off with them, have a bunch of pets, maybe some kids, and that's that. Instead of a wedding I'll just write "mine" on their back, sign it, and stamp it. It'll look official then. I shall only use my notary power for good though....
