Yes, actually I am a notary public. I have been for about a month. I have the state-issued certificate on my desk and the official stamp with my name on it....and the certificate was granted by governor Ventura....so that makes it extra amusing. And yes, Addickt did get my very first stamp and signature. I promised it to him.

Nope, notaries can't get married. We don't have to take a vow of celibacy though. I did have to get a criminal background check run on me though. Luckily I haven't yet commit any crimes....or not that they know of. I guess I can't now since I'm a pillar of the community.

A notary is a person who is liscenced to be able to be a witness. Like if you were signing legal documents that needed to be notarized, you'd sign them in front of me and then I'd sign next to you and stamp it....then it would be official.

You are correct sir. I have a state of Minnesota stamp with my name on it. My office paid for my paperwork. As long as you pass the background check, you're good to go.
