if you meet someone and know that because of circumstances beyond your control you will only be able to know them/hang out with them for x number of days and then probably never see them again ever. and you do not tell this person because everyone is having a great time and the circumstances might freak both parties out and when you do tell they are sad/mad are you a bad person?

basically this person is in town under very very hard circumstances......hard to explain, a very intense training program that could break even the strongest of people.....i was their only support and i never gave any indication i wasn't gonna help them see this through but i had to now and even though i don't owe them anything, i feel like shit seeing the look on their face.
