Ok...I've been training 5x5 style for a few weeks now 1st thing in the am...I'm attempting to put on some lean mass and my diet is on point........I'm about 190 at 6'2 and 8-9%bf........problem is, when I leave work at 5 after sitting for 99% of the day, I feel like I need to do something, so I go back to the gym and hit 35 minutes of mderate cardio.........but, I don't really need it, just feel like I need to do something.,......any reccomendations? Let's say I did back and delts today.....would I be better off going back and stretching and hitting some high rep movements to losen up? Maybe reps of lat raises or pullups? Or maybe hit some high rep leg exercises? Much K!

If you don't want to do any cardio, just do some stretching. After sitting all day I am sure that it will be very benefitial. I wouldn't go back and hit any more weights.

I'm serious. If you can't find an excuse to stay out of the gym but don't necessarily need to be there that much, then you need to find something else to occupy your time.

But why listen to a "newbie" eh? Since post count obviously proves intellect.

You can try restructuring your workout so that you train twice per day. Possibly some days go back after work and do some of the Olympic lifts and abs or forearms or neck or something like that.
