Question re moving out and then back in state

I just sold my home in NJ and my new place wont be ready until the end of January so I will be moving in with family in NY next week.

Should I forward all of my mail to NY then back to NJ when I move in Jan/Feb or should I rent a PO BOX in the town I am moving to and have the mail sent there?

The US Postal service will charge your credit card $1 and it can make sure your mail tracks your moves.

I dont see this option to pay for the tracking? I was just wondering if I will encounter problems changing addresses so much - (Including tax problems)
