question on training at night and eating late

my diet is good throughout the day, i am trying to stay cut for now, however i train at night and when i get home i eat everything in sight because i am starving from the workout, makes the whole day of dieting pointless. i usually allow myself about 400 cals for post workout meal, however i end up eating 1000. this cant be good to eat all this food right before bed. anyone got any suggestions.
 
If you have no choice but to work out late. Your gonna need to discipline yourself. Just eat a protein bar or shake, thats it.
If you need to keep eating, go to bed earlier and workout in the AM. Better for you anyway.
