Question on Excessive Milk thirst/consumption

I have a question regarding Excessive Milk Thirst

My entire life, I've enjoyed drinking milk. I've always been on the "high end" of consumption, however it's gotten pretty bad lately. (as a child, I was the kid that would drink other people's Milk in the cafeteria).

I'm now drinking 4/5+ Gallons of milk a week. Roughly 30%+ of my daily Caloric intake consists of ONLY Milk.(I drink low-fat skim--80 cals serving).
On average, I'll drink 10-12 servings a day (8 oz serving/80-96 oz-day/ 800-960 cals-day).

What is strange, is the Excessive/Obsessive amount of thirst I have for milk, Milk and only Milk can quash the thirst desire.

An example--I drank 100 oz. of water yesterday. (I had a long/hard Weight Training yesterday).

I also drank 80 oz of Milk (10-8 oz glass---there's only 16 servings in a Gallon of Milk).

I'm a firm believer that my body only "demands" what it's lacking.
Therefore, I firmly believe their is some sort of deficiency in my body that is lacking, thus my OVERWHELMING craving for Milk.

I'm concerned this is an indicator of a Mineral/Vitamin deficiency or "something" else.

However, I take a Multi-Vitamin 2x-day, fish oil, niacin, and Potassium pill.

I'm healthy in other ways---been tested for diabetes, etc. All came back good. (Although, I do have high Cholesterol--182-go figure, and my Triglycerides lean towards high--but not excessively high--120-).

I've tried to Google for "excessive milk thirst" (and other variants) and have not stumbled across any answers.

I say that I can completely empathize with someone suffering from an addiction in their life (Alcohol, Drugs, etc). I am truly "addicted" to Milk. When I get the Milk thirst---NOTHING....no food or drink will quench that thirst, other than Milk. (so, I don't think it's Carb craving).

Anyone have any suggestions?

I have a complete Physical scheduled with my Dr. at the end of Jan. I'd like to discuss any assumptions I can read up on.

Thanks!

Have you ever had a titty in your mouth. Maybe it is a titty addiction that is projecting to milk?

just sayin

That's pretty weird dude.

You should try different kinds of milk, like low carb milk or something and see if it still curbs your craving.

It might be a texture thing

WTF? EliteFitness vunderboard is going to have the answer?

Bomb.
While I see what you're saying, this guys problem probably isn't going to be FOUND by conventional medicine. It's unfortunate is that the N00b posted this in C&C instead of the medical or diet forums.

Could everyone refrain from redding him into oblivion? KTHXBYE.

lol, it has to be a wind up

You addiction is purely psychological. You currently have an addiction and you mind has associated pleasure with the consumption of milk. Others have similar addictions with other food products. It is also very common to encounter this with water consumption.

Also, it is a misconception that you are consuming what your body is craving because you have some physiological deficiency - it is purely psychological.

The first step is to stop drinking milk. It really is that easy.

Maybe, if it is I'll bomb him myself, if it isn't I'm interested in what's going on.

Thanks MuscleMom....
I posted this in Chat and Conversation because I figured I'd receive assumptions/advice from those on strict/healthy diet regimes....
Competitors, etc....
I trust those with 8% B.F. to have a good idea...before I'd trust what some Medical Doctor clown thought...who Graduated from Med. school 35+ years ago, and has not picked up a Medical Trade Rag in 15+ years....
But, sorry for posting in wrong section...I'm new...learning the ways....
Lesson learned.. :worried:

its possible you have a calcium (or some other element in milk) issue where your body absorbs that particular element poorly.

usually when you crave something like that,,its because you lack a certain vitamin or element. for example, people who crave tomatoes are often found to be lacking in vitamin C (one of the main vitamins contained in a tomatoe).

at one point in my life i craved cereal. i ate cereal morning, noon, and night and at times would awake in the middle of the night to eat cereal. my mouth actually watered at the thought of cereal and i ate little else. i was def addicted to cereal but i dont think it's because my body craved carbs/sugar. i think it's a texture thing and also just being crazy that leads to this type of behavior.
