Question for those that cross the Mex border

I am going to Mexico to get a couple vails for a good buddy. I will just be crotching them. In the past I would drive over and hide them well inside the car. This time I will be walking in.
Do they now use walk through metal detectors and or hand held type metal detectors? If this is so then the metal around the cap will set it off. ??

no they dont use metal detectors as of last spring break. i think you wil be ok unless you are a monster than they will proably interogate you like my ex partner who was 5'6 and 218. i made the mistake of goint to Mex once with him, fuck than never again.
play it cool and dont get greedy, should be ok!

Since 9/11 they started using metal detectors at random. This was going on through the end of the year.

I walk through quite a bit and I havent seen it in place for several weeks. Just be cool . Good luck
