Question for those medically inclined

A few months ago, I was supposed to start my test cycle....unfortunately I had an accident and got hit in the groin very hard. It crushed my right testicle and I had to go to the emergency room etc. They didnt have to do surgery, but it was really bad blow so the doctor said there is permanent damage in there (probably 50% functionality on that side, the other side is fine). In any case, its been 3 months...there is still a bit of swelling but its much better and I have been able to lift at full strength for about a month now. Im just wondering if it will impede the healing process if I were to start my cycle soonish? Would there be any problems due to the swelling etc?

Thanks for the help...I know, better safe than sorry, but there is no way of knowing when/if ever it will be "fully" healed.

why not go get your levels tested real quick?

Ah I should have added; I did get hormone levels tested...they are normal. Its sperm production that is affected... and there is no great way of quantifying the reduction (according to the doctor)

well if hormone levels are fine, and there is nothing that can be done to regain your 50% worker through time, etc., then you're getting the nod from me. But ps im still not a physician

I wouldnt be worried about the hormone levels, rather how the testicle would react to the atrophy if its still damaged and inflamed. I would hold off on AAS until the nut is where it needs to be (no longer "swollen", but its new permanant size).

yea i'd still want to see my doc imo on this situation. if it has atrophied and will not be able to regain its size for sure as stated by the doc, AND as far as he sees there is nothing else he can do for you and he tells you bye....then i guess you can start messing with your hormones ;)

If you do start a cycle I would suggest that you use Hcg for the whole cycle. Something like 500 iu every other day or every third day. This will signal your testicles to keep working and might even stimulate your battered boy to heal up a bit.

Indeed, that has been my concern really. I am very much wishing I knew a doctor that is pro AAS to talk to heh. Anyway thanks for the input guys. I also considered that idea of HCG, as I do have some on hand. Hmm.

have they done an ultrasound on your testicles to check for swelling or any other abnormalities in blood flow?

as for your question will it ever be "fully" healed..i cant directly say,,,,it is good to hear that your testosterone is within normal range..in general the testosterone producing cells are very hearty and even when one testicle is lost, the other testicle "picks up the slack" and works overtime(so to speak)....the testicles produce TONS of sperm,,i cant say if this injury could create problems with sperm quantity and motility..this can only be measured by taking a specimen of your ejaculation..

as for doing a cycle....if i was determined to do a cycle, i would at least wait until the swelling went down and you had a follow up appointment or two with a urologist to discuss your concerns before consideration.

best of luck, and i wish the best for you and your testicle :)

Sorry to hear about your boy... Good luck with everything... Man, I have to ask... How did this happen?

I was playing a fairly 'light' game of tackle football with a buddy of mine and some guys he knows...and one guy who was supposed to be their "hotshot" got really frusterated and leveled me when I was going out for a pass. To this day I dont know if he meant to knee me or not, but it sure as hell fucked me over pretty well. I puked about 8 times before they realized I really was pretty badly hurt...went into shock on the way to the hospital, bizzare experience.

On a side note, Ive broken bones before, and this was about 10X more painful than that at least. In fact, I never imagined so much pain heh.

They did do an ultrasound, and the testicle was ruptured etc. Luckily the (Tunica?) wasnt broken, so I didnt have to have surgery. The swelling has gone down a lot by now, and its decently normal size, but its very hard and doesnt quite hang like the other one.

Fellas, gaurd your nuts!

The problem with using AAS in this situation is that the atrophy can severly interfere with the healing process...impede blood flow, many different things considering the damage that has been already done. Wait till it softens up a bit, its obviously stil swollen inside.

I would kill that fucker who hit you......ball injurys are intense, many nerves.....im not suprised you passed out at all.
