Question for those in Houston or Galveston

I was planing a trip to Galveston on Monday and I was wondering what things are like in Houston right now. I heard the other day that getting there was impossible because of Houston's highways. Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

By the way I hope no one on this board that lives there has had any problems because of the tropical storm. If so my prayers go out to you and your families.

Its possible to get just about anywhere, however, I would not come so soon, the beach looks like crap right now and I think you would enjoy it more if you wait a week or two.

If I was going to go to a Texas beach, I would pick South Padre Island every time. Think about it, Kitkat.

I love Padre, someday I would LOVE to live there.

Hey Slice.....you should travel more..

Padre is nice.....but too many kids.....now.....it is becoming a tourist trap......you should try the Mediterranean beaches......you cannot go wrong there....great climate.....and people....if you need a tour guide....uh I have a business card for you...just PM me or email me......
