On mother's day do you like to be with your kids or have the day off?

Earlier in the week the ex said she wanted Q for the afternoon yesterday, so I went ahead and made plans to golf. She called me almost right after she picked her up asking how soon I could get her. I know kids are a lot of work, but I think I was always with my mom on mother's day.

I didn't have Abby yesterday and didn't try to go out of my way to make sure I had her on Mother's Day. I appreciated the time off. I felt a little guilty about it, but I shouldn't. Depends on if Mother's Day was a big deal in your family when you were a kid? It really wasn't in mine.

i was going to say, i think it's weird that she didn't want to hang with her. my wife loves being with our girls and she wanted nothing else but to be with the kids. I do give her alone time during the week where she can have a few hours away from girls several times a week.

She sees her almost every day but never really gets much time with her because of her work. She's just so afraid of being alone that everything she does is to make the boyfriend happy. I understand feeling like you need a break, but don't ask me to have her for x amount of time and then call me right back asking how soon you can give her back.

Nimbus, I didn't keep score. First time playing in 2 years. Really sucked for the first 5 holes, had a few pretty decent ones in the middle, and then shit the bed the last few. Bad day of golf's still better than a good day at work.
