I agree with your argument. That's why I said 50/50. I believe the feminist/balls in the home and boardroom attitude has a negative affect on women and their relationships. One can be independent and (I'm sure this will piss some women off) know her place as a woman. Life is about finding the right balance.

Yes at the very least if you have have been out with someone a few times she should offer to pay. I offer to pay I have no problem paying my way.

It should be a given that the guy pays the first date, even if the chic offers. Any women will be expecting him too, and will be disappointed if he doesn't insist at least the first time. Chivalry, gentleman, etc should still mean something. But after that in this day and age women should pic up some slack now and then too, especially after getting more serious.
