Question for joggers

Just started up jogging about 2 months ago... the first couple of sessions I felt "slight" discomfort in my chest (perhaps the first 2 weeks) since that time have had no problems at all... just wandering is that normal in regards to my aerobic system getting used to the extra workload when one first starts out on a jogging program. Im a 34 year old male, non smoker within the correct weight range.

thanks for any thoughts

thanks

The term "slight" discomfort and description of the feeling in your chest gives very little information if any to comment on.
In general terms, typically chest pain caused by possible blocked arteries in the heart is called angina.
Angina that is usually reproducible in people with a certain amount of exercise. Say a person walks up four flights of stairs at work, on the third flight, they get this same chesttightness pressure.
Another question is how many blocks can you walk before it comes on? That tells a good story that it maybe cardiac related.
If it goes away, then its less likely to be cardiac related, one can never know without medical testing, but given your age it would probably not be ordered if you no longer have symptoms. Most likely normal bronchial issues and skeletomuscular with starting a new running program.
You should always discuss this with your doctor though
