question for FINA chemists

last friday i crushed up pellets, placed in "magic solution", and then poored all but 5ml of oil in w/ solution and pellets. put on stove top and everything and let sit almost a week now. it's been seperated. do i just start drawing off now, or shake again, since it's been sitting a week, and then let seperate again. other times i did fina conversions i only let pellets and oil and solution sit overnight. this week has been hectic.

I like drawing off all the oil I can from the top and running it through the filter, then running the rest of it through a coffee filter to get rid of all the gunk, then filter the rest.

what do u mean then filter the rest? draw off as much as u can w/ syringe filter, then poor whatever is left through coffee filter? gunk too in coffee filter?

Yep that is what he means, pour what is left into a coffee filter and let that drain into a vial and then run that thru your syringe filter (Whatman filter).

no dont do not shake then you've got to try and filter all that crap thru the Whatman filter. Draw what clear oil you can then pour the rest into a coffee filter.

Holy crap dude. Relax. This is something you should have known about before deciding to brew your own.

Take your syringe and suck up as much oil sitting on the top as you can before hitting the gunk at the bottom. Once you suck up the oil, put the whatman filter on and filter the oil into the sterile vial.

When all is said and done, you can get anywhere between 5-10 extra cc's by sterilizing a cup, placing a coffee filter over it (use a rubber band to hold it down), and then pouring the gunk onto the filter to let it filter out the good oil. Once done, suck it up with your syringe and use your whatman to filter it again.

I think this is my fault actually.... When he originally posted this question in another thread, I told him to shake up the solution, cause I didn't fully understand where he was in the process..... Sorry Hanibal, I didn't mean to confuse you more.... Just do what these guys are saying, and you got yourself a vial of Tren Rdy to use..... Good luck...
