does pushups. Are pushups with your feet elevated (like on the couch) supposed to be more difficult? Im pumping out sets of 12 right now and I cant really feel too much of a difference. Is this similar to the variation between flat and incline bench?

Somebody wake up and give me an answer. I have 45 secs till my next set. Thanks.

lol...i was going to suggest moving hand position ...center...wide-arm ect ....
and say moving your hands closer and farther makes it different as well...
 
it's 81 degrees in my house. this is like a frickin oven.

since i have all your attention, Id like to say that i strained my adductors. I had the machine stacked and i was doing sets of 10.

no i said adductors. like the inner groin/pelvic/hip/thigh area. it hurts.

also, since youre here, have you ever tried those new Oral-B BrushUps? Theyre like these disposable tooth brushing things you slip over your finger. I like them but theyre a little pricey. But really they work.

Actually, no. lol *anywho*...My friends GF had them last week. We're in a bar and she whips out this finger looking tampon. I was like "WTF is that"? She procedes to tell me..."It's a finger brush".

I looked at her like your parents used to look at you after they asked if you intentionally locked your sister in the trunk of the car during a hot summer day. I then proceeded to finish my drink.

I'm not sure, only time I do them elevated is on the swiss ball, which I highly recommend...
 
before i got starting hitting the gym in the face i did "the pyramid"

10 pushups, 10 second break, 9 pushups, 9 second break, 8 pushups, 8 second break, 7 pushups 7 second break, 6 pushups 6 sec break, 5 pshups 5 scbrk, 4 pshps 4 scbk, 3, 2, 1,

then, back up to 10, doing 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10....then if youv got balls like papa smurf you go back down and then up again, oh lord was i jacked back then

knuckle pushups are all i do. so much better for you because you use your forams as a stabalizer and it teaches you to not hold a bnech press with fag hands (where u can injur ur wrist flexors i dunno im ade tha tup but if i dont have my firsts tight and taught when benching i hurt my wrists)
 
Which push-up is more difficult depends on you. I find that the feet elevated (incline bench mimic) is harder for me because my upper chest needs more work. Of course; remember not to put the feet too high cus then it's working more on the shoulders, but I'm sure you know that.
