question about shipping to apartments

almost-pro

My buddy is ordering domestic. He just moved into some apartment buildings. He gets mail all of the time addressed to people that use to live in the same apartment. Would it be ok for him to give his source his address but put a previous tennants name on his package? How many of you do this?

It seems kind of risky using the wrong name...it may NOT get delivered then :(

Yea I told him the same thing, but he gets mail all of the time addressed to previoust tennants.. on the other hand however, these normally aren't packages, just magazines, advertisements, etc. So they may wonder why an actual box is coming to a previous tennant.

I've done it both ways. If it's a domestic package, may as well have your name on it, so it won't get lost. If it's from overseas I can understand not wanting your name on it, but domestically it's hardly likely to get caught.

When using domestic I would always use my name since very low risk is involved.
