Question about lowering heart rate...

Hello everyone, I was needing to find out what specific types of exercises can help lower my resting heart rate, blood pressure, and overall strengthen my heart muscle. Is it mostly just cardiovascular exercises or does weight lifting help as well? Thank you all for your time.

distance running.... wear a heart rate meter... always keep the rate above 140.... train train train.... withing 3 months ur resting rate will be down by 10 beats

also cut out high fat foods and take suppliments that help to rid your body of bad cholestorol
Cardio, lotsa fiber, use a quality fish oil sup, and avoid caffeine and all other stimulants. Losing bad weight helps a lot too.
