Question about cleans.

When should I throw them into my routine? My split is:

Mon: Shoulders/Bis
Tues: Legs
Wed: off
Thurs: Chest/Tris
Fri: Back, Calves

I did some power cleans last night, because I've read things about how hard they hit the shoulders. But I read conflicting stories, how they're not for shoulders at all. Which is correct? Today, my traps are sore; more sore than they've been in a long time. Where should I put them? Back day? Thanks.
 
WHen I do em I usually do em on back days but man...they take away from me doin other things. Just gonna have to find out when they work the best for you. Some do em on leg days.
 
Well they do hit the traps hard, but if you do them propely it's mostly hips, erectors and traps.

If you pull with your rams then yes your shoulders will get more involved, but this is considered bad technqiue :)
And doing so makes it much harder to rack the weight and increases wrist injuries.

I do mine on lower body days.
