Question about arnolds quote in pumping iron

So im just wondering , in the bonus footage of the pumping iron film, arnold says he used steroids, but i quote 'they were just a finishing touch' ....what does that mean??

It means he worked his ass off, had a clean diet, healthy lifestyle, worked out at the gym like a beast AND Also juiced.

Are simple obvious statements this hard to figure out for you?

Arnold said that he used steroids before they were illegal and that he used them during his cutting stage just to maintain size. So he worked his ass off then when he decided to trim up he juiced.

Haha....i just dont understand the hate going down i only asked a question... The question was not a simple one considering the quote ''finishing touches'' , in difference to someone else who just juices to get big , he is saying it in a different manor, also talking of 'manners' you all need to get some , what kind of forum flames someone for asking a honest question? ...

Nan pretty much nailed it with her reply. And I'm willing to bet she's never even watched it. Hard work and training got Arnold where he was. The joose was just to compliment his dedication.

He took steroids, thats as much as you or anyone else is ever going to know. He can claim "finishing touches" all he wants but in the end he admitted to using roids so the extent to which he used will forever be a mystery.

Cant belive we will never know, or nobody knows. I thought it may been printed in a book or anything some kind of source but ah well, I guess this concludes me to just guess.

You have to understand that 40 years ago steroids were not seen as the evil demon they are today. Also the public perception of bodybuilders 40 years ago was not immediately associated with steroid use like it is today so it would have been much easier to hide the use.

First of all if you're such a delicate flower you should stay out of chat, second of all none of us are BFFs with Arnold to know exactly what he meant and exactly what or how much he may or may not have juiced at any given age.
