Agreed, whole-heartedly. I think women tend to be passive agressive more than they tend to be "bitches." Bitches I can respect. Passive aggressiveness drives me batty.

Hell, if a woman is stand up and forceful right out of the starting gate, I dont have an issue with her. Hell, I admire that and wish I could be more like that. I hate the "smile to your face and cut you down behind your back types". <----IMHO Thems are the bitches.

Behavior quite typical of "georgia peach bitches." I grew up around old south belle types. What Heather romanticizes as a polite strong woman, I know in truth to usually be a catty, manipulative little princess who thinks she shits roses. I have several relatives who easily fall into this distinction.

There are different types of bitches. You don't want to be a bitch like the ones on Dynasty years back. You don't want to be self-absorbed, cruel, and unpleasant.

However, then you have the Georgia Peach Bitches. All women should be one of these. They don't let anyone treat them like a doormat and they get what they want while maintaining a friendly smile. If you cross them, they exit your company.

Not all bitches are bad.

I have never called myself a bitch, but if others get off doing it, so be it.

I think that it is the word itself that cause confusion. For some the word bitch implies a strong woman. For others it has a negative connotation. And still others use the word when a woman ticks them off for whatever reason, maybe cause it is a man that can't stand the fact that a *lowly woman* just owned his sorry ass. LOL

Anyways I never get insulted if someone calls me a bitch, because I am the antithesis of a bitch. I am actually a squooshie pushover fronting in the hopes that no one will mess with me. Anyone with half a brain sees right through my act though...

I am one the nicest most yielding and polite/respectfull people on the planet. Matter of fact I remind myself of Edith Bunker - you know the type that is always apologizing for stuff that she has no control over, like the weather for example.

....still I get labeled "bitch" on occasion.
