Quad Sweep

Is the sweep in your quads mostly genetics or are there specefic exercises that will help. From what I can find keeping a close stance in the squats and hack squats seem to help.

The shape will be genetic, but if you really want to emphasize the quads, front squats are good, leg extensions for higher reps (metabolic work) can help (as said above).

Main thing? Just focus on getting bigger quads to bring out any shape to them. And to do that, focus on getting STRONGER.

powerlifting style squats are a good way to lose whatever you have, if you do them exclusively.. not because they dont work the 'outer' quad but because they shift the load to the PC and your legs can shrink.

leg pressing and regular squats worked best for me, switching to box only with a wider stance lost me leg size.

I used to do close legged squats (shoulder width or closer, with less weight of course) and that really helped. Then I discovered front squats.

I don't do close legged anymore, just regular width back and front squats, and the fronts still help to give me goood (ok its decent but good for me) sweep.

I agree, leg extensions are worthy of helping here..
