Mac173, the inject itself is totally painless, but I get soreness and swelling for a couple days after.
My second quad shot went very smooth and although it is sore, it doesn't affect my ability to walk or go up and down stairs like the first. It's only about at parallel that the pain kicks in hard. Swelling is minimal too.
So far I prefer delt shots as I have done both quads and delts.
Gonna try pecs or traps next week.
I would do glute shots, but I cannot feckin reach the spot by myself. I start locking up. Trunk rotation is not my strongest point.
Want to try ventroglute, but still not totally certain of it's location even with all the charts I've looked at. If I pop my hip sideways it seems like it's directly behind the very highest part of the quad sweep or psoas. Like a couple inch fleshy mound. Last quad inject, beforehand I actually stuck a sterile needle in there(ventroglute I think) and there was a definite tenderness on the skin as the needle broke it and then absolutely nothing as it went in all the way(25g 1"). I was worried I wasn't in muscle, but rather fat so I pulled out, got another needle and did a quad inject.
Sure would like to make that a regular spot. I'll keep doing quads, but as teh oil disperses in the muscle I get sore and leg work is out of the question. It's driving me nuts because I love squats.
