pushups every night?

Deus Ex Machina

I hurt my shoulder yet again, and I need some ideas of how I can still maintain my upper body, specifically, my chest.

can I do about 50 pushups before bed each night? or should I do it every other night?

thanks for the help.

How about push ups Monday and then on Friday? No point in doing more than you need.

i need to rehab my shoulder too :(

I have a Theraband that was given to me while I was in Physical therapy in the past. I still have all the excercises memorized, except this time i'm not as hurt, which is good because i'll be healed hopefully in a couple weeks... i just don't wanna slack on my chest for that long (like i've done before)...

mon and fri is enough for rehab. Remember healing takes place when you eat & rest!

Push ups aint gonna cut it in giving you a huge chest.
Only Iron & hard work will! Now thats guaranteed!

Push-ups are crap for building chest size. If they really were the key to the huge chest, everyone in the armed forces would have enormous pecs.

i didn't say i needed to build a huge chest! here's the keyword that i said earlier: maintain

I need to, for atleast a couple of weeks, keep my upper body in a somewhat stasis...

basically, what can I do for my chest if I can't bench press for a couple of weeks?

thanks

have you considered slamming your upper torso up against a wall repeatedly for about 20-30 minutes (to start with) ? i think this helps to increase mass as well as bring out mad cuts.

what about close grip bench? i know it's still bench press, but it seems to be a different feel than regular bench press, at least to me.

and shouldn't this be in the training forum? guess you put it here cause you knew it'd get responses faster :D
