pushpresses are awsome

Sub-Zero

High End Bro

at least i thinkt hats what they are called.

i used to do standing controlled shoulder press, and it was always really harsh on my back, but i saw some jacked powerlifters doing it with a tiny bit of leg drive and leg give, (basicaly like 1/8th front squats, and abit of toedrive with the calves)

not only did my back hold up really good with no discomfort, but i felt it in my shoulders much more awsomely

A+ for that lift

Try some Zercher squats. I love those, and people tend to look at you funny.

:cow:
are zerchers the ones where the arms are crossed and on your shoulders and bar rests in elbow joints (sort of).

i really wanna team up with a powerlifter and just do what he does and train me for a month...

likewise id wanna team up with a serious "bodybuilder" for a month or two,

and then one of those dinky ass high endurence multi rep super setters for a month or two,

and cycle them around.

that would keep training super exciting and awsome, and be well rounded id think

Your arms don't rest on your shoulders, but I think you know what they are. I love those.

Get some bands and chains, too. Nothin' like benching off a 2-board with 80 lbs of chains clanging around.

Overhead squats are a good lift to really work some stabilizer muscles.

You near Milwaukee, Wisconsin? lol

I got a custom EFS rack at home. :D

The school "gym" here isn't the best, but boards, chains, bands and improved boxes for squatting can make even the most pathetic fitness center PLer-compatible.

what kind of poundage are you push pressing?

i've never done them, but anything that let's you legitimately use more weight...gotta love that.

I used up to 145 for 6 I think. It was pretty hard after legs.

not much more than regular, i didnt focus too much on the leg drive, but i think im gunna make this a serious part of my workout and work the weight up higher using that technique instead of just straight standing shoulder press,

but after bench i did 135x12, 145x9, 155x5

I heard about this exercise called a "squat" that is supposed to be great and another one called the "deadlift". Any of you bors ever try them?

I heard they're hard
I think that I'll stick with leg extensions and curls. High reps and low weights cause I don't want to get big like those bodybuilder guys, I just want to tone.

I'd be willing to be that most people who are really into push press probably also do those crazy "squats'' and "deadlifts".

Kickbacks are bar none of of the greatest mass builders for the tricep, not to mention how they bring out the "seperation". Heck, I don't see anyone at the gym doing these so called "push presses" but everybody does kickbacks.
