He is prob already on probation. So he should get what ever time is over his head for that.
If I was the judge I would give him the 20 years and throw in a charge like public
disturbance. Then I could give him 1 day on and after, so he has to do the whole 20 years.

You forget, our justice system is based on technical laws - but juries convict. Juries have emotions and juries take in to account special and extenuating circumstances as it pertains to a crime - and that goes both ways.
You don't think beating a frail old man to steal his car should be given any more of a punishment than someone that technically assaults someone - say someone father that knocks some douche bag's block off for making leud comments about his daughter?

i had friends that i no longer talk to just stand there and watch some old guy almost get his ass kicked by a bunch of punk ass thugs. i tried to urged them for all of us step in help the old guy out, but they bitched out like a bitch. i got lucky, they saw that i was willing to have the old guys back so they talked shit about how they were going to shoot everybody and left.
i don't ever try to be hero but sometimes if you are going to get your ass kicked you are going to get your ass kicked for a good cause.

Remove his fingernails with pliers then pour salt on the open wounds then rinse that off with rubbing alcohol. Then take a pair of wire cutters and snip off each digit of his fingers one by one. Then give he some Prison justice. I support the death penalty but that is not valid in Michigan.
