sup guys....well on pull ups, how important is it too go all the way down and let the lats stretch out ? i always go all the way down and hold at the bottem for about .5 second......

or should i go fast with them?
 
Like any other muscle. Use a full range of motion. While you are doing your pull-up I would do it with the same rythm as you would any other excersise. Slower controlled movement both up and down.

But then again, it depends on what you are trying to acheive, doesn't it?
