Pudding?? On a diet????

I found this a few months ago and I ordered one can of bananna flavored pudding. It was very good, and it doesn't seem to be all that bad for you.

100 Calories
2 Grams of fat
5 mg of Cholesterol
420 grams Sodium
330 grams of Potassium
1 gram of Carbs
20 GRAMS OF PROTEIN

I am thinking of ordering a case. This would be for the times when you want to have something sweet but know you shouldn't....

Just something I thought I would share. Enjoy.

Nothing wrong with it while cutting at all. That's owned by sly stallone, fyi. You can also make ur own homemade version for cheaper by combining sugar free jello pudding of your choice, water, whey protein. U can use skim milk but try it a couple times with water, the whey should add enough of the dairy-like consistency. My fav is pistachio.

That's an awesome idea. I am going to try it this weekend. Thank you!

No problem, throw it in a blender on whip, if u can, before u put it in bowls and put in the fridge..it'll be a much smoother consistency.

Not trying to hijack here, but how does this recipe look? It is just pudding packet, water amount from the directions and a couple scoops of protein powder?

That's it. And if u're not cutting, or you dont mind dairy or carbs, u can trade some of that water for skim milk and/or put a dallop of cool whip free on top.

But for cutting purposes obviously the straight water/pudding packet/protein is the way to go.

I just discovered cheesecake flavor. The way I make it it's 140 cals and 55 grams of protein /serving. Plus Calci-YUM!

ROFL on the calci-yum. Marketers have a lot of time on their hands.

Hey Kabeetz,

I had read about the Instone pudding in my last M&F mag and was gonna pick some up until I read your recipe. That is an awesome idea and it saved me a sh!tload of $$ !

Thank you and if you have any other protein recipes, please post them :Chef:

I'm definitely no expert on this kinda thing... I would suggest putting it all in a blender so it mixes thoroughly and whips.. and then throw it in the fridge. It usually sets decently for me within 5 minutes, literally that's about it and it's somewhat decent. you can leave it in for a couple hours or overnight to get it to set really good.

The only thing I can think of is either your fridge was not cold enough for some reason or more likely you used too much liquid vs. powder. That's gotta be it, try it with less liquid next time. :( Good luck.

It sounds like you eat like I eat (convenience, bare minimum ingredients, eat cold food sometimes if u're in a rush), so I'm sure you'll find this a pretty decent dessert craving satisfyer if you get it right.

I have a Magic Bullett blender thing - so maybe that will work better.....I'll try it again.....could be like you said I used too much liquid....

BTW - have you tried the Walden Farms chocolate dip?? :p :p :p

I have heard that you can get some at the grocery store - I buy the Ranch, Bacon & Blue Cheese dips in the produce section of my grocery store.....

And going by the label, they are all 0 sugar, cals, etc.....

I buy the rest from: www.netrition.com

The bacon dip makes a good mock potato salad or cole slaw and the others are good on a wrap with chicken or to dip veggies in.....I love the chocolate!! Heard the caramel is good too.....

Im most excited about bacon dip and bbq sauce :)
