not sure why you were told NOT to buy any of the football.. ncaa 2oo2 is awesome... very fun... madden comes out aug 21st and it should even be better.. sega is moving their sports lineup to ps2 soon as well, that means nba, nhl, and NFL 2k2... all will be well worth it
nba street is fun and playable, i hated the double pump one handed threes but throwin some nasty dunk down is pretty damn cool..
non sports the best game i played was red faction, its a first person shooter that is very cool.. i usually hate shooters but this one was "off the hook"...

When I first bought the Playstation 2, I thought it sucked because of the huge"lack" of almost "any" good to decent games. But,..now there are "finally" some promising games comming out. I'm glad I did buy it afterall right now though. Finally, got some promising/good games comming out soon! "Soul Reaver 2," look awesome!Check out these other titles comming out and lemme' know what your opinions on them are...
