Prozac - my friend - ques.

My lifting partner was a long time Prozac user, he has been off for a couple of weeks now, and he has a drug test Monday. I know what Prozac does, and that it has to be taken every day for it to be effective, so my question is this:

How long does Prozac show up in the body, per say, on a drug screening.

You didn't mention why he was being tested but most drug tests do not look for SSRI's.

He's just got hired by a normal company, and to finalize his hiring process,.........he the standard drug test on Monday. He's on 750mg of sus a week,...he's not worried about that,.....just the prior prozac.

they won't be testing for prozac - it is legal and there is no reason they should or would want to look for it.
they are going to be looking for coke and stuff, not perscription drugs.

Oh, one more thing,.........I know that standard drug screenings don't test for anabolics,.............does this mean you could literally shoot up your sus a couple of hours before the test, and it wouldn't matter(seeing as one of the tests in sus kicks in right away)

perhaps this will clarify it:
when they do a drug search, they are looking for specific chemical compounds in your system. they don't take your blood and then get a magical printout that says every drug that is in your system at the time and then they decide how to deal with you.
they look for the signs that cocaine is in your system, if it shows yes, then you are in trouble, if it doesn't then nothing bad.

it is very easy and they aren't going to know or care about your friends usage unless he is using the stuff they ARE testing for.

I agree with HappyScrappy man. Prozac is not going to show up in a drug test. I have been on many different types of SSRI drugs for my OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) and panic attacks and have had many drug tests while being on these meds. Not once was anything mentioned about my meds on the test results. But just for your info Prozac and the like take about 4 to 6 weeks to completely clear the system (from what I recall).

Prozac is a legal substance and stays in your system at least 3 weeks, it does not affect AS, gear or anyother drug. I took it for 8 years.
