Protein???

OK, so I bought this nutrition book because I am suppose to be eating around 450g of protein a day....How is this possible? I am ingesting about 100g with 2 shakes and a protein bar a day. No matter how hard I try I can't find an additional 350g that I can actually eat. What am I doing wrong or where should I be looking? I already ran a search and there is a lot of advice that says 2g per pound body weight and I am 220lbs, but I haven't found anything other then advice on protein powders. Help.

can't you double the amount of protein you put in a shake? if you can do that, try 4 a day. That should give about 250g

Search for protein foods. There are a lot of foods that have good protein in them. Tuna, SAlmon, beef. eggs many ,many more. Tuna is by far the cheapest and most convient. One 6oz can has about 35 grams of protein. i have a diet at home on the computer that has about 400 grams of protein to 100 grams of carbs. let me know if you want it

Try to get most of your protien via food. That's my thinking at least, it's going to take some real evidence to convice me powders are as good. 2lbs of Chicken, Beef, Turkey, a shake or two.

I personally have my doubts about the whole 2x bodyweight thing. I strive to get that much, but I don't get stressed if I only get 200 for the day. I weigh 228.

nordstrom, I can try that but then I am spending mad cash a month on protein powders on top of the gear I already have.

bbforlife, any diet info would be great and appreciated.

The Terminator
That is just my problem, I can't eat that much food. I was wondering if I was doing something wrong but I have a protein shake and egg whites for breakfast and i'm full till lunch, then I have three cans of tuna and I'm full again. I could break the meals up smaller and more often but I am not coming anywhere near 450g.

The only reason I'm stressing it is because I have never dieted on gear. I watched what I ate but I was young and figured the gym was the most important area. with every cycle I put on 15-20lbs but 5-8 was bloated crap. I've never done a cutting cycle and never really dieted. This time I have the gear to bulk up and then take 8 weeks off and then a cutting cycle but I want to get the most of it.

Thank you all very much, it is appreciated.

Here's my diet

Getting all the nutrients and calories you need really all comes down to determination and dedication. You do have to make sacrifices because you will be eating virtually non-stop, but in the end it is the only way you're going to maximize your growth poteintial. You have to have plan and you have to be willing to put in the time to eat a quality diet...no if, and's or but's about it. You have to be willing to pack meals, cook meals, and eat even though you may not be hungry. This is my current diet just to give you some ideas.

Beezers, I see that you eat carbs and milk products in the evening, I would think that this would put some fat on, unless you have a very fast metabolism.

That is a crazy and insane, but I like it! I've heard so many people stress "dieting as the difference" and "anyone can use gear and get bulky but the winners are made at the dinner table". I had no idea how true that was. Thanks for the advice. If anyone knows somebody either on the site or elsewhere that maps out these diets it would be appreciated.
