Around 10 years ago and up to 5 years ago I would normally take 1gram of protein per KG of bodyweight directly post workout (hence when I was 110kgs I would consume 110grams of protein directly post workout in the form of a protein shake). The 110 included the milk.
I would also consume 50grams of protein for each meal of the day over 6 - 8 meals.
My question now is: As I am getting older and kidney problems exist in my family, I want to be very cautious about protein intake and more importantly substances that can be harmful to the kidneys but at the same time with my diet, I do not want to restrict myself from growing at the most important meal of the day - post cycle.
So are there any studies out there that how how much is beneficial and how much gets excreted if too much is taken?
How much protein does everyone consume directly post workout?
I am currently on 100grams but thinking about dropping this slightly?
