Ok, here is the deal...
Today at school I was eating protein bars right after gym. Hungry as hell. So, I pull out a bar and eat it, then another one, then another one, and finally last one. So, all together was 85 grams of protein. One of my classmates (nice looking one) went off about protein intake every three to four hours in doses of 20 to 40 grams is good for you rest is shitted out. She is an aerobics instructor. But, I cannot take 120 grams a day. I need at least 180 to 200. So watsup with that? Need your input, bros, to figure this one out.

Although body size and type determine the actual amount of protein that can be taken in by the body, as well as digestability of different proteins, on average, one can expect to take in around 35 grams every 2.5 hours.

So what your saying is that almost half of your protein comes from one meal? (85 of 200?) You really should do as the other guys have suggested and try and space it out between 6-7 "meals" a day.

I try to get 60+ every sitting, 60g per meal, for me, is about 420g of protein which is around what i shoot for - daily, especially on cycle...

YUM

as far as protein goes, I'd rather have too much than too little. Noone knows how much the body can use at a time, but when you are trying to take in over 300g a day, you should not restrict your intake based on an unknown fact

Tip for helping protein digestion

Someone up above mentioned using ginger root to help abosorptoin. I've always had trouble digesting protein powders of all kind; whey isolate, concentrate, milk isolate, caseinate, you name it I've tried it. I get the shits about 90% of the time. Anyways, a women that owns a health food store (who suprisingly knows a shitload about general health nutrition) turned me onto a product called Bioperine. It helps the absorption of many nutrients and is patented in this regard. But taking one Bioperine tablet with my protein shakes-no more shits and feel like my recovery ability is better than ever. It's really cheap too so not like a huge expense. I've even upped my protein shakes from an average of 50grams to 75 grams. I was talking to her and asking why it's not added to more products (after I read some amazing clinical studies on it's increased absorption of many nutrients) and she thought it was because the company that has the patent and supplement companies are so notoriously cheap with ingredients that they don't want to pay for adding it to their product. I sound like a damn infomercial, maybe I should become a rep for this stuff. Hope you guys with digestion problems give it a try, the savings in toilet paper alone will cover the cost.

I recently increased my protien intake to 380-420 grams pers day. I shoot for 60g meals. I have had no increase in bowel movements. I would think that if your body could not assimilate 60g of protien in one sitting that you would have to "use the facilities" more often.

No science behind this just a personal observation.
