How do I know when a drug is "affecting" my prostate? What are the signs/symptoms.

I always read about bros saying how certain drugs affect their prostate. I would like to know what it is that they notice/feel?

Two ways it
One is more difficult to go pee because of inflamation.
2nd is ability to orgasm is much slower.

detection is more difficult as you need a rim job to feel if the prostate has enlarged.

Difficult to pee as in I have to actually push and strain myself to pee? Like that?

And difficult to orgasm as in it takes me a long time to cum?

what about load volume? Will it affect this as well?

difficult to pee, as i asked a dr before he says peeing flows gets interrupt in the middle not continously as normal we have "strong in beginnng and gradually slows"

Peeing does move slower and takes longer to empty your blatter.
I not sure about how much longer it takes but it seems much harder to stimulate to an orgasm.
as per volume it will only be affected like it would with any period on aas.

If you are concerned, best to ask your doctor for a Prostate PSA test (a blood test).

A doctor once told me the 1st sign of a prostate issue would be decreased pressure when you piss. He asked if a could get a decent distance, or just piss past my toes. He also said you'd have trouble starting and stopping, such a dribbling when instead of a clean stop.

I have real prostate issues!! Bottom line your ass will feel like it's on fire when you sit down. I'm a t-10 SCI (paraplegic) so I'm pretty much screwed since I sit all day. I use Proscar (finesteride) and after about 4 months it's heaven again.. But recurring need to pee / inability to fully void is when you need to worry. A weak stream isn't a major issue but rather the beginning and when you should see a urologist.

my buddy had some complications with his prostate last cycle and he described it as "always havin to piss really bad but when he got to the bathroom he could only squeeze out a few drops"

Burning where? When I pee? Or sit down?

Also..doesn't estrogen need to be high in order for prostate issues to occur?

Definitely T causes prostate changes (enlargement), and I've seen it in myself. I keep up on the PSA and the other unpleasant but necessary checkup, and it's so far, just normal prostate enlarging that happens after your 30s & into 40s. If you get an infection of prostatitis, (not related to AAS or meds that I know of), the symptoms would be pain and really sudden change with difficulty in getting pee started, or sometimes being totally plugged off and needing a catheter. Also it can cause semen to be bloody or smelly. That's an infection that needs antibiotics, and sometimes an injection of antibiotics into the prostate itself. Regular enlargement is just part of life for most all men, and we learn to cope with it. As far as sexual function, the reduced semen is also an effect of AAS, but that's another issue. Just an off-topic mention: Prozac is a classic cause of reduced semen and VERY long-time to ejaculate; often too long. But if you're 18 and tend to blow your load as soon as your GF grabs your belt buckle, a low dose of Prozac sometimes gives you more time...

Charles,

Excellent and far more thorough of a response. Sub zero you are correct all aas that convert to dht will affect your prostate. Charles however covered the topic quite well and every mans prostate WILL grow as we age hence the need for regular checkups.

Hold up!!! Got 2 questions I need answered.

1- so taking masteron, which is a dht...I'm asking for prostate problems?

2- my primary doc is a female. Does that mean she's going to be the one putting her finger up my butt???

Smoke,

Yes, again ANY aas that converts to dht WILL affect your prostate. However we unless you are at least in you late 30's I wouldn't worry about it but if you begin to experience any of the symptoms listed above go get a check up!

As for your female MD she can run a simple lab work on you instead of a prostate exam so don't get all worked up over small potato's. ;-)

I'm 35 years old. And would like to NOT wait for symptoms to arise. I would like to make sure things are check. Just so I can have piece of mind.

I mean, what if I wait until there IS symptoms. Then what? Now I'm fucked.

Also....doesn't the prostate need high E levels along with DHT in order for problems to arise?

ive never ran crazy shit like u r probably on. didnt know the kind of effects this leads to. enlarged prostate or total shutdown altogether

Smoke,

At this point this topic is going on waaay too long! If you're that concerned go see your MD and get checked out. Bottom line, if you wanna play you will pay eventually however regardless at some point YOU WILL have prostate issues its part of normal progression in age, enough said. Best of luck!

Depends on the cause. Eg, if bacterial, same treatment as Chlamydia - Antibiotics for 14 days will clear it up. For what it's worth I just found out today that I have it. My Doc is an authority on AAS and has told me that AAS users are prone to prostate infections as the meds will enlarge the prostate, making it prone to infections - particularly when coming off as you out of balance, including your immunity.
Symptoms for me were: slight urine discharge, tingling sensation in the penis and a "stringy" content in my urine sample which looks like a small string of sperm. (I saw it today after I gave the Doc my Urine sample). I also had urgency to urinate, but no blockages or issues with the stream. However, I have had this before, around 8 years ago (when I came off DHEA 100MG every day for 3 months) and the symptoms were different - I had the urge to urinate frequently, but when I went I couldn’t go! That time I had none of the symptoms I have this time, like discharge or tingling in the shaft etc.
So, the symptoms can be very complex and are similar to many other conditions including STD's (I was tested and clear!). Just get yourself checked out as the treatment will fix you up ASAP and put your mind at rest. Also, prostatitis does not cause prostate cancer, but again symptoms are similar.

Guess I'll go get my prostate and psa checked out AFTER my cycle of winny. Damn! My female doc is going to stick her finger up my butt?! Oh well. It was bound to happen sooner or later. She's already seen my cawk and balls many times. And even handled the boys a few times. Now a finger up my butt. Great! All this and she doesn't even ask me out on a date. Or buy me dinner. LOL
