Proper squat form

I find that my toes often tend to point outwards, forming a 45degree or so angle and I struggle to naturally point them forward (I have to remind myself alot). How important in this? Also what is the appropriate length to have your feet appart? I use a narrow stance, baout 1' or less between.

Thanks in advance

matter of personal preference. I like to have my toes pointed out.

So it doesn't affect how good the exercise hit your claves or any other part of the leg?

Edit
Oops, I meant quads

Everybody covered the foot angling question, personally, mine point slightly out. You did mention the width of your stance. Stance and bar placement depend on your goals, narrower with a high bar placement tends to focus more on the quads, wider with a lower bar placement tends to focus more on the hip flexors, hamstrings, and glutes......both serve a purpose, both work the entire leg, just different techniques geared towards different goals and eliminating diferent weaknesses.
