Prescribed Flexeril, Cyclobenzaprine; can cause gyno!!!! is it my tickett to surgery?

hey all, last week i was prescribed cyclobenzaprine, aka Flexeril for a pulled muscle. Anyways, he told me if it was still buggin me in 2 weeks come back, I was thinking perhaps he will just refill my prescription at that point in time. Anyhow, i reaserched the product and one of the sides is gyno. Do you guys think it would be possible to claim that 60 10mg tabs caused my slight gyno? this is providing that i do get a refill because i only currently have 30, which i dont think is enough to probably cause gyno. Anywho, my gyno is only slight, not huge, my nipps look like the corners of envelopes. Any and all help and input appreciated. I do have medical insurance so perhaps this could help? thanks again in advance

i think you would have a hard time blaming it on the flex.
but good luck anyway
any reason for this? if i just tell the doc i sleep w/my arm tucked under my chest at night while i sleep on my belly and that i noticed i had a sore nodule under a nipp or both how could a doc say it wasnt from that if its listed as a sideeffect? even if it is rare? rare means it does happen, just in select few individuals right? just looking for some reasoning, any input appreciated.

u dont have to do that.. it happens natrually in a pretty good precent. Just tell him you feel a lump and that is it. they will send you for mammogram hurts a little looks like this

..
after they do the test it will come back and show you have some gyno tissue and then they will want to remove it because in a small % of men breast cancer is possible :D enjoy

also they will ask if you ever smoked weed. and if you drink a lot of caffine.
tell them you have been drinking alot of soy milk :D soy can mask estrogen see what they say :D

they will probably want some kind of proof. Almost all insurance's try to avoid paying for gyno surgury. IMO just saying that you got gyno from flex is not going to be enough to get insurance to pay for it. Also, there is a chance your Ins will try to go into a legal battle with the makers of flex to get them to pay for it.

if it happened naturally I doubt ins will cover it. there are plenty of people that got slight gyno from puberty and there ins will not pay to get it taken care of. Also, chances are you have a different ins company then you did while it developed during puberty. most ins companies do not cover pre-existing conditions

but the point is not that it was pre existing, the point is it really hurts and perhaps if he tells me to discontinue and the pain doesnt go away it is now a legitimate issue is it not? btw I live in the states

I dont know man, good luck trying. I just know that it is not going to be easy. especially b/c it seems like it might turn into some sort of lawsuite if you are trying to say that it is due to the Flex.

keep me posted on what happens
